Visit Canoecopia!

It may be a few months until we can safely start kayaking around here, but if you are getting anxious for spring and the paddling season, might I suggest a trip to Madison in March. Canoecopia is the largest paddlesports consumer event in the country and it has been going on for well over 30 years (I’ve been going every year since 1988)! In addition to being able to look at more canoes, kayaks, standup paddleboards, paddles, life jackets, and any other piece of accessory gear you can think of than at any store anywhere, there are over 180 seminars and clinics that you can attend. There are talks on places to paddle, “how-to” and “how-not-to” presentations on skills and equipment, pool demos, and lot’s of vendor booths where you can find information on paddling destinations. The dates for this year are March 8-10, 2019 and it is held at the Alliant Energy Center. For more information, visit the Canoecopia website. I will be there all weekend giving talks and demos and staffing the ACA/PaddleSafely table and the SherriKayaks/Fox River Paddle Sports booth. Stop by and say “Hi!”

Get a kayak and a way to carry it home. 🙂
